STALLINGS - WILLIAMS POST 206, Inc. The American Legion, Department of Maryland Post Commander |
I would like to start off
with letting all of the members of Post 206 know a little about
who I am. Firstly, please call me Kirk, I have 30 years of prior
government service and I am currently a resident of Calvert County,
previously I have served on the Executive Committee and as a 2nd
vice, along with being on the Entertainment Committee. While performing
these duties, I have come in contact with many of the members
of Post 206. My desire is to keep our post operating in the great
fashion as did our previous commander, Bill Rustmann. He was a
great commander and I greatly appreciate his guidance and support
through this process, hopefully he will choose to continue to
stick by my side in the future as I will greatly appreciate his
help.
At this time I would like to thank all the past members of the
Ladies Auxiliary and S.A.L. for their dedication to our
Post and I am looking forward to continuing the great service
our Post has accomplished in the past and hope to further achieve
higher goals with our new Post officers.
My goals for the coming year will be simply to increase membership,
to assist the American legion family as a whole, and help our
county organizations as much and as greatly as possible. With
the help of all of the members of Post 206, we can achieve these
goals. During your daily routines and talking with friends and
neighbors, please speak with them about all that we do for our
community and each other and take a moment and simply ask them
the question Are you a member of your American legion?
and if not, show them the way to join our great organization.
Remember with your help we can always improve our post and our
American legion family. Thank you for giving me this honorable
opportunity to take the position of Post Commander, and I ask
the ladies of the Auxiliary and our brothers with the S.A.L. to
stand up and continue to do another great job this year.
Again, I would like to thank Bill & Arlene Rustmann for their
great service to our Post and I would also like to extend a good
luck to my friend and previous Commander, Pat McCoy in her new
position as the Southern Maryland District 2nd Vice Commander,
We wish you the best of luck. We have a great group of people
on the board once again and we are here to serve the American
Legion family and you.
So lend a hand and volunteer for upcoming events and stand up
proudly to serve Post 206, we need your help to achieve success
now and in the future. Again, thank you for the support and help
in becoming Commander and I hope to see all of you soon at the
Post.
God Bless America,
Kirk Larman
